Step 1: Product understanding
From concept to mass production the first step is to understand study and specify your product idea in order to make it “makeable” at a competitive price. With our team of engineers and designers in China we are able to support your company through the process of concept clarification.
When sharing an idea with a manufacturer it is understandable that issues such as confidentiality and communication difficulties will be of concern and the physical distance between manufacturers in China and customers overseas can only increase these worries.
Our trustful relationships with our manufacturers and the presence of our local team of reliable Chinese and French employees ensure the accurate communication of your specific requirements to a minimum number of people.
Fabric sewing, plastic injection, silk printing, steel frame assembly, PMMA laser cutting, carpentry…our manufacturer have years of product development and manufacturing experience. We can study all your ideas and find relevant manufacturing solutions for your product’s ideas.
Time: Variable. Depending of your product concept maturity and the product complexity and the time to study the different productions possibilities.
Step 2: Product design
Trendy Trade China can provide product development solutions but also product design and engineering drawings.It is the second step in the process to materialize your idea into a product ready to manufacture.
We can use standard Design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe illustrator, Corel draw or more advanced CAO software such as Pro/Engineer.
Time: Between 3 to 10 days.
Step 3: Prototyping
In the third step in the engineering process of product design and development, Trendy Trade China provides prototyping services. Prototypes enable you to verify the design and design functions which in turn will give us the required info to optimize and finalize the product design.
Through our manufacturers we have access to different prototyping technologies such as SLA, SLS, LOM and FMD, CNC machining, silicon molds, vacuum molding and EPS modeling.
Time: Between 5 to 10 days.
Step 4: Molding and Tooling
Your product design is ready? It is time to prepare the tools that will allow the factory to make your product in mass production: molding and tooling step.
We usually work directly with a factory specialized in mold manufacture in order to keep a total control on this important production tools that becomes the property and the asset of your company.
Then we could take it and modify it anytime you want!
Time: Between 25 to 45 days.
Step 5: Manufacturing
Your product idea, design, prototype and mold have been validated. We are ready to start the 5th step: your first production.
A pre-production of few pieces will be first delivered to you in order to confirm the 100% finished product. After your confirmation it is thousands of pieces who will be produced accordingly and controlled until the container is loaded and shipped to your warehouse.
Time: Between 7 to 60 days. Depending of the product type, the pre-production samples confirmation time and the number of pieces to produce.
Parallel Step 1: Software and Hardware Programming
This step is usually one of the most important parts in the development of Electronics products.
Trendy Trade China will choose in collaboration with your company and the supplier the right components and technology for your products and program it in order to react to your products specifications and needs.
The IC should be designed and programmed in order to react to your products specifications and needs.
Several testing will be made in order to validate all the different functions and reduce the product bugs for future mass productions.
Time: Depending of the product type and time needed to confirm the Step 1 (Product understanding).
Parallel Step 2: Laboratories Testing
If your products have to be tested and certified by international aggregate laboratories, Trendy Trade China is able to submit and follow your product testing and certification in China with local partners such as TUV, SGS, Eurofins, etc. We handle for you all the procedure and allow you to benefit of competitive prices and fast and professional services.
We will check which standards are mandatory in your countries for import and retail and we will provide you an appropriate quote shortly.
Time: Depending of the product type and the number of tests to undergo.
